Planning your removal
What to know before your pickup
What affects the price of junk removal?
The amount of material and the space it occupies in the truck are important, but volume is not the only factor. Weight, item type, stairs, carrying distance, required handling and disposal requirements also affect the job. A dense pile of material and a bulky but lighter furniture load should not automatically receive the same estimate.
Single-item pickup compared with a larger load
For one couch or mattress, send the item size, condition and location. For several rooms, send overview photos of each room and close-ups of large or heavy items. Identify every piece you want removed, including items not visible in the first photo. Adding items after the quote changes the scope and may change the price.
What the agreed removal scope includes
Loading, hauling and sweep-up are included in the junk removal service for the agreed accepted items. Detailed house cleaning, hazardous cleanup, plumbing or electrical disconnection and other specialist work should not be assumed to be included. Discuss any additional work before the appointment so the quote is clear.
How to get a useful estimate from photos
Text clear overview photos and your ZIP code to (516) 789-2911. Include the item list, stairs, elevators, parking and how far the crew will carry the load. For garages or basements, show the full space and its exit route. Tell us about heavy pieces, contamination or uncertain material rather than leaving those details until arrival.
Review the scope before work starts
We discuss the expected price range from the details you provide. Final scope and pricing are confirmed before removal begins. Ask what is included and identify anything that has changed since the estimate. Contacting us for a quote does not book an appointment or authorize removal.
Comparing junk removal quotes
Compare the same item list and access conditions. Check whether each quote covers carrying items from inside, stairs, loading, hauling and the disposal arrangements needed for the accepted load. A quote for curbside pickup is not the same scope as removal from a basement. Choose based on the full agreed job rather than an unexplained headline price.
Frequently asked questions
Your pickup questions, answered
How much does junk removal cost?
The minimum pickup is $250. Quarter truck is $300, half truck $450, three-quarter truck $650 and full truck $850. We assess the accepted load and access, then confirm final scope and pricing before removal begins.
Can I get a quote before booking?
Yes. You can call or text photos to discuss the job and expected pricing before choosing an appointment.
Does a photo estimate guarantee the final price?
A preliminary range depends on the information supplied. The crew confirms the full accepted scope and pricing before starting removal.
Do you charge the same for every couch or appliance?
No universal item price is stated here. Size, weight, condition, quantity and access vary; request a quote for the actual job.
Can I get an exact price from one photo?
One photo may omit other piles, item weight or access difficulties. Send wide views of everything being removed plus stairs and heavy-item details. A preliminary range is reviewed with you, and final scope and pricing are confirmed before work begins.
